Lee Valley Regional Park stretches 26 miles from Hertfordshire down through Essex, to the River Thames in London. The Regional Park’s landscape ranges from rural to industrial and urban.

Our Youth and Schools Service run innovative programmes which draw on the internationally important nature reserves, wildlife and Sites of Special Scientific Interest of the Park.

We offer programmes for:

• Primary schools - designed to help meet the requirements of the National Curriculum for key stages 1 and 2 and to link to some
  QCA schemes of work. Many of the programmes are accompanied by pupils’ project books and some have activity packs for teachers.
• Secondary schools, colleges and universities - activities help meet National Curriculum, GCSE,BTECH and A level criteria.
• Youth groups - opportunities include countryside and conservation projects, orienteering, habitat studies and birdwatching. Many programmes cater for outdoor badge work and award schemes.
• Special schools and groups with special needs - we’ll adapt programmes to suit the needs of individuals or groups with particular disabilities or educational needs.

We can also help arrange self-led visits.

Lee Valley Regional Park also offers sports development opportunities which contribute to the school sports and P.E. curriculum, as well as developing broader life skills through sport and physical activity.
